Dinner at America! in Union Station. My parents wanted to treat me to a nice dinner on their last night in DC. This restaurant was a blast! We could look out over the station from our balcony seats. I loved the white tablecloths and the delicious spinach artichoke dip. Thanks, Mom and Dad!
I just knew I'd meet a dashing man in Washington! And here he is! In uniform, too! This is the Navy Memorial near the National Archives.
It was so fun to have my parents come to DC with me. We found a great sandwich place called Potbelly's. We ate there two days in a row! I recommend the chicken salad sandwich. My dad would recommend the apple juice.
On Sunday, we had quite an adventure. After my (and my parents') first visit to my singles' ward, we took off for Arlington... in the pouring rain! It was such a memorable experience to be there with my parents. For years, my dad has told me how special Arlington is for him... he always said he feels reverent when he's there. It was amazing for me to be standing in Arlington National Cemetery with my mom and him.
Lincoln will always be my favorite president and my favorite monument.

Our marathon ended in the park across from the White House where I sometimes go to eat lunch. The boys were happy that I helped them find the White House, after they had hunted around for it a few nights earlier.
