Baby Shower 2011Isn't it incredible that no matter how many years pass or how much time goes by between seeing each other, there are some friends that just understand you, no matter what? You can still talk for hours and laugh about the same funny things and just plain have a delightful time together, even if it's been ages since you last met.
In 2004, I made one of the best decisions of my life so far and rushed Lambda Delta Sigma, the LDS sorority at the University Institute of Religion. As part of the Omega chapter, I met some strong, faithful, funny, and truly amazing women who I am glad to call my friends. Back then, we had great adventures together at officer meetings, SGC carnivals, sleepovers, Barn Dances, Winter Formals, pool parties, and rose passings. We always found something to laugh about.
Now, all but a couple of us are married and a few are engaged. Three of us are pregnant. At least two of us are working on advanced degrees. Some of us own homes, and a couple of us have left the great state of Utah for grander adventures.
Even with all of the changes the years have brought, I am still grateful that we can get together and it's like no time has passed at all. That, I believe, is the sign of true friends.
And with that, there's only one thing left to say:
Omega born, Omega bred, Omega 'til the day I'm dead!
This is my current perfume of choice. I absolutely love it. Also, it makes me smile and laugh a little when boys tell me I smell really good and ask what perfume I wear. I've had that experience at least three times this summer. :)
My dad got us killer seats for the fireworks! And my sisters found me a big bag of my favorite treat - Coconut M&Ms. Seriously. They'll change your life.
