I'm so looking forward to watching the Memorial Day Concert tonight on television. It's the next best thing to being there.
There actually was a year when I was lucky enough to be there in person. It was incredible. I still say there's no better place to be on Memorial Day weekend than Washington DC.
Here's my favorite performance from that concert in 2008. I know the audio isn't perfect, but I still watch Idina's performance every year.

I loved going to the concert and the National Wreath living ceremony. What I wouldnt give to live there and be apart of that every year!!
Oh my gosh! That was such an amazing concert! Man, I miss that city.
